Mike Stephenson, the most senior student in the adult program, takes out a board with a spinning kick. He is way too fast for the webmaster's camera!

One of our newer yellow belt students takes a crack at two boards with a side-kick -- only his second time breaking!

Eunyoung Yim, who moved up to the adult program from our classes for children and youth few months ago, uses a heel-palm strike to break her 3/4-inch board. This was her first time breaking.

Gordon Nore takes three 3/4-inch boards with his elbow. With three or more boards, it helps to have someone backing up the people holding them.

Artemis breaks using a shuto (knife-hand) strike. This was her second breaking class!

Cathy takes out a board with a side-kick. The webmaster's camera missed the break but caught her returning to her original "horse stance" -- good technique!

Another new yellow belt student, Iain, takes breaks a 3/4-inch board with a punch.

Sensei John Foster loads his punch to break two stacked boards. This break is trickier than it looks...

...because of the short distance, Mr Foster has to stand up and load his punch high to generate the power to make this break.
